Hemang Agrawal specialises in textiles & apparel made out of natural fibres & precious metals, deploying age-old techniques which are fast disappearing from modern-day handloom weaving.

Agrawal studied Fashion Design at NIFT, Mumbai & business management at Sydenham College, Mumbai, finishing amongst the top of the class at both institutions. He was awarded for textile development at NIFT and received Merit and Golden Jubilee Scholarship at Sydenham College. After a stint in the apparel export industry, he returned to the city of his birth - Benares, the foremost centre of patterned textile weaving, in 2003 for research and training in his true calling- handcrafted textiles. He has been working extensively in the field since.

Agrawal has been awarded by the International Consortium of Green Fashion & was also nominated for the International WoolMark Prize 2017/18.
